Shelves come in a wide variety. Before settling on a specific type, you need to get an overview of all the options. Often picking one type is not ideal; instead you should go for a combination.
Standard Shelves
When referring to standard shelves, what is meant are shelves covering the entire piece of furniture. An example could be a standard bookcase. These kinds of shelves maximize storage capacity and are practical for storing large items.
